We are thrilled to announce the successful completion of ODESC’s recent project, supported by UNOPS, titled “Provision for the Distribution of Hygiene Kits.” Through this initiative, we distributed 7,200 hygiene kits to vulnerable populations across five provinces of Afghanistan, addressing urgent needs caused by forcible deportation and the October 2023 earthquake in Herat.
Key Achievements:
Distributed 5,200 kits to affected individuals in Khost, Paktika, Kandahar, and Nangarhar.
Delivered 2,000 kits to earthquake-impacted communities in Herat.
Conducted hygiene awareness sessions to promote sanitation and health.
Distributed Aqua tabs to 2,000 households in Kandahar for water purification.
These efforts helped support women, children, the elderly, and individuals with disabilities in crisis-affected areas.
Challenges Overcome:
While managing delays, coordination challenges, and cultural sensitivities, ODESC adapted and ensured fair, dignified, and impactful aid distribution.
Looking Ahead:
ODESC remains committed to improving lives through meaningful projects and addressing the needs of the most vulnerable.
