The Organization for Development of Economic, Social, and Capacity Building (ODESC) carried out a tree plantation initiative at Faryab Provincial Hospital as part of its commitment to environmental sustainability and community well-being.

Following its participation in the 2026 Green Legacy campaign, ODESC undertook this effort to promote greener public spaces and contribute to a healthier environment for patients, visitors, and healthcare staff. ODESC team recently conducted a field visit to Kamdesh District in Nuristan Province as part UNESCO Project Activity

During the visit, 11 classes were observed to assess student attendance, learning conditions, and overall classroom organization. The majority of students were actively engaged in their lessons, and classes were running in a normal and orderly manner. ODESC successfully distributed essential medical equipment to the ICU ward of the Provincial Hospital of Faryab.

The donated equipment includes photo-therapy machines, incubators,suction machine,  and patient monitors, which will significantly enhance the hospital’s capacity to provide quality care for newborns and critically ill patients.
